See G/L Interface instructions below.
End of Year:

If not using G/L:
End of Month:
G/L Summary Posting report (option 17).
Invoice file purge (option 22). This step is optional.
End of Year:
End of Year (option 21).
G/L Interface
Payroll interface must be run after each Payroll.
Report options 2 and 3 (Posting Reports) are optional.
Option 4 post will move all Sales-A/R-P/O data from interface to G/L unposted file.
Option 5 post asks for MM/YY to move and after successf/ul move will ask if you are ready to clear all data for MM/YY. A “Y” response will close the A/P Module for that month. Most companies wait some period of time into the next month before this closing. Data from this move is transfered to the G/L unposted file.
General Ledger Module
Data in unposted G/L file may be posted at your discretion. It will be printed on Journal Report by date (MM/YY) and Jnl #. It will prompt to post if all journals are in balance for the selected period. You may continue to make additional posting runs to the “Current Posted Month”. Any transactions for periods prior to the “Current Posted Month” but within the current fiscal year will post to the appropriate period. Transactions for the previous fiscal year must use Jnl 99. This will insure that data is properly distributed to correct months for comparative runs. The “FIRST of YEAR” posting run is what causes the closing of a fiscal year.
